Our Story
We began in 2017 as Bunbury Maternity and Women’s Clinic, with a small team of one doctor, one nurse/midwife, one Endorsed Midwife, and a receptionist. At that time, our focus was solely on pregnancy care.
As the years passed, we grew to truly appreciate our patients—and they us. Over time, we realised that our name and branding unintentionally left some people feeling as though our clinic wasn’t meant for them. Hearing this regularly was heartbreaking and in 2022, we changed our name to Health By Nurture to ensure everyone felt welcome, and we haven’t looked back.
With growth came new staff, broader expertise, and a deeper understanding of the care we wanted to provide.
Thank you to our patients who have been with us since the beginning in 2017, as well as to our new and future patients. We’re grateful for your trust and support, and we look forward to all that the future holds.

Practice Communications, Confidentiality and Privacy Information
-
In the event of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 000 immediately.
If you need to speak with your Doctor, please book a phone consultation either online or through Reception. To receive a Medicare rebate for a phone consultation, Medicare requires that you have attended the clinic in person at least once within the past 12 months and have a valid Medicare card. If you have not had an in-person visit during that time, a Medicare rebate cannot be applied, and the full consultation fee will be charged.

We offer a free SMS text messaging service, that allows patients who have registered their mobile number with reception to receive a SMS reminder message the day before the next booked appointment.
Recall SMS reminders are sent every day for non-urgent reminders. If you do not have a mobile number registered you will receive a recall/reminder letter for pap smears, diabetes reviews etc. which are posted out by our nurses when the patient is shown to be due to see their doctor for this.
-
For all urgent results, a nurse or doctor will contact the patient by phone (as soon as possible) to provide the results or advise if a follow-up appointment is required. If we are unable to reach the patient—such as when calls go unanswered or the listed phone number is incorrect or disconnected—a letter will be mailed to the patient’s address requesting that they contact the practice immediately. Messages can only be left if the patient’s name is clearly stated on the voicemail greeting.
If your results are not urgent, you will receive a recall text message reminding you to book a non-urgent appointment with your doctor.

The practice privacy policy is available to all patients. When registering as a new patient you must sign that you have read and understood the practice privacy policy. Patients are welcome to take a copy of the privacy policy by asking at reception. Health by Nurture’s clinic privacy policy is a standard policy for Australian Medical surgeries.
