  • MBBS, FRACGP, DRANZCOG

    Dr Amanda completed her medical degree in London, initially pursuing a career in surgery. She undertook surgical training at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, gaining experience across several specialties, including Burns and Plastics. She later commenced Emergency Medicine training in London before transitioning to General Practice after meeting her husband. During her GP training, Amanda completed Diplomas in Women’s Health and in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery.

    While working in London, Dr Dr Amanda discovered her passion for Women’s Health and worked as a portfolio GP in Women’s Health and Urgent Care. She then embraced a change of pace, relocating to rural South Africa for a new professional and personal experience.

    Following the birth of her daughter, Dr Amanda and her family moved to Western Australia and have been happily settled in Bunbury since 2017.

    Outside of work, Dr Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, watching sunsets at the beach, exercising in nature, and planning interior design projects on Pinterest.

  • Dr Ruth Campbell
    FRACGP, MBBS, BSc (Nsg)

    Dr Ruth is an experienced Specialist General Practitioner who obtained her Fellowship in the Bunbury region. She graduated with a Dean’s Award from the University of Notre Dame Australia (Fremantle) in 2012. Prior to studying medicine, Ruth qualified and worked as a Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse, where she developed a strong passion for caring for children. She has extensive experience caring for Heart Kids, premature infants, and newborns.

    In general practice, Dr Ruth has developed a particular interest in supporting families navigating educational challenges, especially those relating to ADHD and autism. She takes a holistic approach to healthcare, ensuring children and their families feel supported, informed, and empowered.

    Dr Ruth has undertaken additional training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners to support doctors on their pathway to Fellowship. She is deeply committed to teaching and mentoring GP registrars and medical students, and her passion for education means she is often found providing corridor teaching or checking in to support junior doctors.

    Ruth has also been instrumental in bringing street medicine to rough sleepers in Bunbury. Together with her husband, she co-founded Bunbury Street Doctor to provide care for vulnerable members of the community.

    Outside of work, Ruth enjoys a busy family life filled with energetic kids. She coaches and manages her children’s basketball team, fostering teamwork and personal growth. In her downtime, she loves fishing, glamping, and exploring the outdoors with her family on bush walks.

  • MCChB, MRCGP, DRCOG

    Dr Tafadzwa “Taf” Makamure obtained his primary medical degree in Zimbabwe in 2014 and has since worked across a range of primary and secondary care settings. He initially developed a strong interest in Women’s Health, which became his early area of focus.

    After relocating to the UK in 2019, Taf undertook General Practice training and gained Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). During this time, he maintained his interest in Women’s Health and completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRCOG).

    Taf now practises as a GP with a strong emphasis on holistic, evidence-based, lifestyle-oriented care. He is looking forward to putting down roots in Bunbury and becoming part of the local community.

    Outside of work, he enjoys spending time at the beach and exploring the bush, which reminds him of home in Zimbabwe.

    Taf is fluent in English and Shona, and conversational in Ndebele.

  • Dr Bindu began her medical career in India before continuing her postgraduate training in the UK, where she worked for over 12 years. During this time, she gained broad and valuable experience across Emergency Medicine, General Practice, Cardiology, General and Colorectal Surgery, Geriatric Medicine, and Core Medical Training. Her hospital roles also included work in acute medical units, ICU, Respiratory, and Gastroenterology departments.

    She holds Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK) and has completed a Diploma in Diabetes.

    Despite her extensive hospital-based experience, Dr Bindu discovered her true passion in General Practice, where she values continuity of care and building long-term relationships with patients.

    Outside of work, she is a devoted mother to two daughters and enjoys family life with her husband.

  • Dr Hamed is a highly experienced General Practitioner who joined the team at Health By Nurture. He obtained his medical degree from the Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacie in 1997 and has since gained extensive experience across a broad range of medical disciplines.

    His background includes work in internal medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, gynaecology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, ENT, infectious diseases, and dermatology. Dr Hamed takes a comprehensive approach to healthcare, focusing not only on diagnosing and treating illness but also on preventive care and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.

    He has been a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) since 2018 and continues to expand his expertise through ongoing professional development, including advanced training in women’s health, ECG interpretation, and procedural skills such as suturing.

    Dr Hamed is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, with particular interests in chronic disease management, preventive health, and health education. He is passionate about supporting patients through all stages of life, including prenatal and postnatal care.

    He is fluent in English, Farsi, and Romanian.

  • Dr Maryam Nikkheslat, originally from Iran, completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2007 and has over 16 years of experience working as a GP. She is passionate about providing patient-centred care and focuses on promoting long-term health and disease prevention within the community.

    Dr Maryam has a special interest in mental health, chronic disease management, women’s health, and preventive medicine. She is committed to supporting patients through all stages of life and works collaboratively with them to develop personalised treatment and management plans.

    Dr Maryam speaks English and Persian (Farsi) and welcomes patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Dr Rod is a compassionate General Practitioner with over a decade of experience across diverse healthcare settings in Brazil. His experience includes a year serving in Amazon Indigenous health districts, more than five years in rural and remote communities, extensive emergency care, and private practice.

    Dr Rod graduated in Medicine in 2012 from the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre and holds a Specialist Title in Family Medicine, earned after completing the Family Medicine Residency Program in Rio de Janeiro. He also completed a postgraduate degree in Primary Care and Family Health.

    Dr Rod chose Family Medicine because he believes a holistic, person-centred approach is the most effective way to prevent illness and promote health.

    Outside of work, Dr Rod enjoys mountain biking, surfing, and playing soccer. He also loves travelling, exploring nature—especially the beach—and spending quality time with his wife and son.

    Dr Rod is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

  • Dr Stacey is proudly local to WA and completed her medical degree at the University of Notre Dame Australia in Fremantle, graduating in 2021.

    She is delighted to be returning to Health by Nurture to commence her GP training, having thoroughly enjoyed her time with the practice last year as a junior doctor. Since finishing medical school, Dr Stacey has worked across hospitals in Perth and Bunbury, gaining broad experience in general medicine, emergency medicine, and psychiatry.

    While she appreciated the dynamic and fast-paced nature of hospital medicine, Dr Stacey is especially excited to transition into general practice. She values the opportunity to focus on preventive health, continuity of care, and building long-term relationships with her patients. She believes that truly understanding each person as a whole is central to delivering high-quality primary care.

    Dr Stacey is committed to providing thoughtful, individualised, and compassionate care. She looks forward to reconnecting with the local community, welcoming new patients, and supporting them in achieving their health and wellbeing goals.

    Dr Kath is a highly experienced and compassionate General Practitioner. She graduated from Monash University in 1982 and completed a Master of Rural Health in 1998. She has also undertaken further training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Public Health, and Tropical Medicine.

    Over the course of her career, Dr Kath has held senior executive medical leadership and administrative roles across Australia, including with WA Country Health Service, Tasmania Health Service, and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

    Now returning to her passion for direct patient care, she consults one day a week (Fridays) at Health By Nurture.

    With a career dedicated to rural health, medical education, and strengthening healthcare systems, Dr Kath brings a calm, thoughtful approach and a wealth of experience to every consultation.

  • Kelly has been supporting women and their families throughout pregnancy, birth, and early parenting since 2001, making it a truly rewarding career.

    She is passionate about maternity care and strives to be a strong advocate for women and their choices during this important and transformative time in their lives.

    Having worked across a variety of roles and models of care—from community settings to large tertiary maternity hospitals—Kelly has gained a broad understanding of the multifaceted role of the midwife during these life transitions.

    As a mother of three children, each with very different birth experiences, Kelly understands how these moments can shape, empower, and influence a family’s journey.

    Her goal is to provide personalised care that supports women’s choices, promotes the best possible outcomes, and helps families feel confident and supported throughout pregnancy and birth.

    • Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery – Curtin University, 2002

  • Jessica Pocock is a highly skilled Women’s Health Physiotherapist, originally from the UK, with a passion for supporting women through all stages of life. She specialises in pelvic health, helping women manage conditions such as pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, prolapse, pregnancy- and postnatal-related issues, and recovery after gynaecological surgery.

    In addition to women’s health, Jessica provides rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries for both men and women, using a tailored, evidence-based approach to restore strength, function, and mobility. She is committed to empowering her patients through education, personalised exercises, and practical strategies for long-term wellbeing.

    Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and family, exploring the outdoors and being in nature.

    Jessica’s combination of professional expertise, holistic care, and empathy makes her a trusted recovery partner.
