  • MBBS, FRACGP, DRANZCOG

    Amanda went to Medical School in London. She originally wanted to be a surgeon, and underwent surgical training at Barts and the London Hospitals working in several surgical specialties- including Burns and Plastics. She then joined Emergency Medicine training in London, before switching to GP training once she met her husband. During GP training Amanda completed Diplomas in both Women's Health and Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery.

    In London - Amanda discovered her love of Womens’ Health and worked as portfolio GP in Women’s health and Urgent Care before moving to very Rural South Africa for a total change of scene.

    After her daughter was born, Amanda and her family moved to Western Australia where they have settled in Bunbury since 2017.

    Out of work; Amanda loves spending time with family, sunsets on the beach, exercising in nature, and planning interior projects on Pinterest.

  • MCChB MRCGP DRCOG

    Dr Tafadzwa 'Taff' Makamure trained and obtained his primary medical degree in Zimbabwe in 2014,after which he has practised in a variety of primary and secondary care settings. He settled on Womens Health as his preferred area of expertise initially,but pivoted to general practice after his move to the UK in 2019,where he did his GP training,and obtained membership to the RCGP. He maintained a working interest in Womens Health though,and studied for a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology during this time. 

    Taff is now working as a GP with us,with a strong emphasis in holistic,evidence based, Lifestyle-oriented care,and is keen to sink roots in Bunbury.

    He loves the beach,and the bush-which reminds him of the bush back in Zimbabwe- and spends time walking both.

    Taf is fluent in English, Shona and can get by in ndebele.

  • Dr. Ruth Campbell

    FRACGP, MBBS, BScNsg

    General Practitioner

    Dr. Ruth is an experienced Specialist General Practitioner who obtained her fellowship in the Bunbury region. She graduated with a Dean's Award from the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle, in 2012. Before attending medical school, Ruth worked and qualified as a Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse, which ignited her passion for caring for children. She has vast experience in caring for Heart Kids, preemies, and newborns.

    In her practice, Dr. Ruth has developed a strong commitment to supporting families facing educational challenges, particularly those related to ADHD and autism. She believes in a holistic approach to healthcare, ensuring that both children and their families receive the necessary support and guidance.

    Dr. Ruth has additional training with the Royal Australian College of General Practioners to support doctors on their pathway to fellowship. She has dedicated her time to teaching and mentoring GP registrars and medical students. Her passion for education means you will often find her corridor teaching or checking in to see how she can assist junior doctors.

    Ruth has been instrumental in bring Street medicine to the rough sleepers of Bunbury as her and her husband set up Bunbury Street Doctor.

    Outside of her professional life, Ruth enjoys a bustling home filled with joyful kids. She actively coaches and manages the kids basketball team, where she fosters teamwork and personal development. In her downtime, Ruth loves fishing, glamping, and exploring the great outdoors with her family through bush walks.

  • Melody (MD, FRACGP) is a General Practitioner originally from Canada, with a background in pharmacy. She completed her medical training at The University of Western Australia in 2017 and has experience across a variety of hospital specialties, particularly in emergency medicine, before moving into general practice.

    Melody has a special interest in women’s health, paediatrics, minor procedures, neurodiversity, and preventative health. She is committed to providing patient-centred care for individuals and families. Outside of work, Melody enjoys cycling and making the most of the beautiful sunshine and coastal lifestyle in Western Australia.

  • Dr. Hamed is a highly experienced General Practitioner who joined our team at Health By Nurture. He earned his medical degree from Universitatea de Medicina si Farmaci in Romania in 1997 and has since accumulated a wealth of experience in various medical fields.

    Dr. Hamed has worked extensively in internal medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, gynaecology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, ENT, infectious diseases, and dermatology. His comprehensive approach to healthcare involves not only treating illnesses but also educating patients on preventive measures and healthy lifestyle choices.

    He has been a part of the RACGP since 2018 and has continually enhanced his skills through various professional development courses, including women’s health, ECG interpretation, and suturing workshops.

    Dr. Hamed is dedicated to providing high-quality care to his patients, with a focus on chronic disease management, preventive care, and health education. He is passionate about supporting patients through all stages of life, including prenatal and postnatal care.

    Hamed is fluent in English, Farsi and Romanian

    Dr. Bindu embarked on her medical journey in India, progressing her training in the UK for over 12 years. Her rich experience spans Emergency Medicine, GP roles, Cardiology, General and Colorectal Surgery, Geriatric Medicine, and Core Medical Training. This also includes specialized roles in acute medical units, ICU, Respiratory, and Gastro departments.

    She proudly holds the MRCP UK degree and has completed a specialized diploma in Diabetes.

    Despite her comprehensive expertise, Dr. Bindu found her true calling in general practice, a decision deeply aligned with cherishing family life. Outside the clinic, she's a devoted mother to two beautiful girls and is happily married.

  • GP

    Rodrigo is a compassionate General Practitioner with over a decade of experience in various healthcare settings throughout Brazil. His background spans a year of service in Amazon Indigenous health districts, over five years in rural and remote communities, extensive emergency care, and private sector experience.

    He graduated in Medicine in 2012 from the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (UFCSPA) in southern Brazil. Rodrigo holds a Specialist Title in Family Medicine, which he earned through examination after completing the Family Medicine Residency Program in Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, he obtained a postgraduate degree in Primary Care and Family Health.

    Rodrigo chose to specialise in Family Medicine because he believes that a holistic and person-centred approach is the most effective way to prevent illness and promote health.

    Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking, surfing, and playing soccer. He also loves spending quality time with his wife, travelling, and exploring nature, especially at the beach.

    Rodrigo is Fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

    Heather graduated medical school in the UK, alongside completing a degree in Microbiology before working in London for 2 years. In 2019, she then moved to Queensland for 3 years where she primarily enjoyed Surgery and Emergency medicine. She has worked in General Practice in London since then. She is especially interested in Sexual Health, and has completed a sexual health diploma in the UK. Her other interests include Men’s Health, Preventative, Musculoskeletal and Emergency Medicine. In her personal life she enjoys pilates, sewing, cooking and her nephews.

    Special interest Women's Health

    After graduating from university in England in 2008 I acquired extensive knowledge and skills in many areas of physiotherapy whilst working in hospitals and private practice. I already had an interest in Women's health and wellness which only increased after experiencing pregnancy and the birth of my own child.

    In 2011 I moved to Australia with my partner and baby, completed additional training in Women's health and wellness, became a certified Pilates instructor and obtained certification as a Pinc cancer therapist.

    My passion is holistic care for Women. I can offer support, education, and treatment for general musculoskeletal conditions as well as during pregnancy for musculoskeletal aches and pains, carpal tunnel syndrome, pelvic girdle and back pain. I can assist with your postnatal recovery (C section or vaginal birth), diastasis recti (stomach muscle separation) pelvic floor and bladder issues, prolapse, pelvic pain, and support you on your return to a physically active lifestyle.

    Outside of work I enjoy travelling, experiencing new places, experiences, and cultures. I am also a big fan of spending time in nature and try to walk or cycle regularly.

    I have spent my wonderful career supporting women and their families throughout pregnancy, birth, and early parenting. Working as a midwife since 2001.

    I am passionate about maternity care and strive to be an advocate for women and their choices during this fascinating and wonderful time in their lives.

    Having worked within many different roles ad models of care , from community to large tertiary maternity hospital settings, I feel I have a wide understanding of the multifaceted role of the midwife during this transitional time on peoples lives.

    As a mother of 3 beautiful humans, each with vastly different births, I am aware of how these experiences affect and empower you.

    My hopes and aims are to provide you with the care you want , to achieve the best outcomes we possibly can, supporting your choices throughout your pregnancy and birth.

    Pauline brings a wealth of leadership experience across both General Practice administration and the banking and financial services industry. Before joining us, Pauline held a management role at a local GP practice, and prior to that, she worked as a Manager at one of the Big Four banks.

     

    Outside of work, Pauline is the captain of a ladies volleyball team, and enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, and taking her Golden Retriever to the dog park and the beach.
